Autonomous from the gate to the runway and back
The AEM-Speedport project is a big step towards automating ground traffic at airports. In the future, we will move aircraft autonomously, without their own engines, from the gate to the runway and back again after landing.

The Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV) is funding the AEM-Speedport project in East Westphalia with a double-digit million amount. The use of autonomous vehicles is intended to make the operation of Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport future-oriented.
Together we gave the starting signal for the AEM-Speedport project on August 27th and initiated the first phase with a motivated team at Paderborn Airport.
